Eric Clapton - Wonderful Tonight

Una  mujer, una vez más...Ellas suelen ser las culpables de casi todo lo bueno que pasa en la vida, y para muestra esta canción.

La culpable en esta ocasión fue Pattie Boyd, una modelo y fotógrafa que se cruzó en la vida del Beattle George Harrison 1964. No tardaron en darse el sí quiero, dos años después. El amor en las estrellas de Rock es tan intenso como rápido, Igual que el paso del desamor al rencor, pasan de uno a otro a una velocidad espectacular.
Pero es por estas relaciones,estas formas de sentir y actuar tan radicales las que son origen de las grandes obras de muchos de estos compositores.

La vida con las estrellas de rock no es sencilla. las infidelidades continuas de George y su búsqueda espiritual llevaron al matrimonio al fracaso en 1974. Harrison desmintió que compusiera "something" pensando en ella.

Fue entonces cuando un amigo de toda la vida de George entró en escena,Alguien que estaba enamorado de su esposa desde años atrás y que guardaba silencio,no era otro que el gigante Eric Clapton.

Resultó difícil aceptar para George el nuevo papel que ambos protagonistas interpretarían en su vida.

Según cuenta Pattie, Wonderfull Tonight fue escrita por Clapton cierto día en que ella se arreglaba para ir a una fiesta en la cual Paul McCartney actuaría junto a él...

Pattie también se separó de Clapton por dos motivos, el primero su infertilidad y el segundo la adicción de Eric a las drogas, desde entonces la fotógrafa ha escrito libros y ha concedido entrevistas sobre los dos gigantes con los cuales tuvo relación.

Así lo hizo en 2008 para el periódico The Guardian...

"Eric estaba sentado a mi lado tocando su guitarra mientras yo trataba de elegir un vestido para llevar al show. Al parecer ya llevaba mucho tiempo ocupada en esto,además no estaba a gusto con mi peinado,ni mi ropa,así que desesperado, después de preguntarle mil veces...Eric me gritó..‚Escucha esto! y empezó a tocar la primera estrofa de "Wonderful Tonight"...
