Juanito Valderrama - El Emigrante

Existe un programa de televisión en España (TVE1) en cual, se hace memoria del cine español. Este programa se llama Cine de Barrio... En cierta ocasión, la presentadora Carmen Sevilla (Actriz y Cantante de coplas), contaba que Juanito Valderrama y ella, fueron "invitados" para cantar ante el dictador Francisco Franco, ya que se iba a celebrar una fiesta que organizó un rico personaje apellidado Aritio, justo después de la habitual cacería de perdices.Los artistas comieron aparte, en una sala anexa al salón principal,llegado el momento, fueron llamados y ambos pasaron al gran salón se encontraba expectante el General Francisco Franco. Presidiendo y rodeado de uniformes..Juanito temblaba, sudaba asustado, pues el maestro Quiroga le había dicho que tenía que cantar "El emigrante".Al finalizar la canción unos interminables segundos precedieron una inesperada reacción. Franco pidió a Juanito que lo repitiera porque era una canción patriótica que le gustaba mucho. Muchos años después, tras la muerte del dictador, Valderrama le contó a Carmen que el miedo de aquella noche era porque aquella canción la compuso pensando en todos los españoles que tuvieron que marcharse al exilio después de la guerra civil, perseguidos por la hambruna, el desempleo, los recortes sociales(racionamento) y la persecución política.Cuando Valderrama escribió aquella letra, aún no se había producido el éxodo masivo de emigrantes españoles para trabajar en Alemania o a Latinoamérica. Los únicos emigrantes eran los exiliados pero ni a Franco ni sus asesores pensaron en ello. Posiblemente por eso, Juan Antonio Valderrama, hablando de esta canción de su padre dice siempre que fue la primera canción protesta que se escribio en España. Hoy les veremos cantando juntos gracias a la tecnología digital.

Esta canción de 1950 se la quiero dedicar especialmente a muchos de mis amigos, que se están viendo obligados a plantearse marcharse de su país, de su hogar, lejos de sus seres queridos. Ya que los gobernantes que nos gestionan, han decidido acabar con sus sueños y arrojarles a la pobreza y la hambruna. Igual que hace 60 años aprox. Han hecho valdío el esfuerzo, el trabajo y el excelente nivel de formación que sí es valorado fuera de nuestras fronteras. Los señores gobernantes disfrutan dilapidando, robando a manos llenas de las arcas públicas, mintiendo y tratando de justificar bajo tupidas cortinas de humo, una verdad a gritos, que no se molestan en esconder. Camuflando como recortes,el robo a cara descubierta a los más débiles, mintiendo por escrito reiteradamente sin ninguna consecuencia legal. Esos son políticos Españoles...

Dicen que la historia se repite, lo cierto es que sus lecciones no se aprovechan.

The emigrant only ones were the exiles but they did not even think either Francp or his advisers about it. Possibly because of it, Juan Antonio Valderrama, speaking about this song of his father says providing that it was the first song protests that was written in Spain. Today we will see them singing together thanks to the digital technology.

This song of 1950 I want to dedicate specially to many of my friends, who are meeting obliged to consider to go of his country, of his home, far from his dear beings.
