Michael Jackson es una fuente inagotable de literatura, y como soy un gran aficionado a las historias derramadas generosamente en papel, no puedo hacer más que dejarme caer en su embrujo. Es por ello, que hoy os narro la historia de como llegó a componerse uno de los mayores éxitos del cantante. Randy Taraborrelli fue uno de los primeros biógrafos de M.J. Es en el libro "The Magic&the Madness" dónde se descubrió la curiosa historia de Billie Jean. Siempre ha existido mucha literatura entorno a las grandes estrellas, pero es en este caso, en el de la biografías autorizadas y refrendadas por los propios artistas, las que cuentan con mayor valor..pero... Me dejo de "cuentos"...

Corría el año 1981, cuando el gran Michael se encontraba reposando plácidamente  en su rancho, cuando la fortuna o el azar, o quizás los dos, se aunaron para sobresaltar el ánimo del compositor. Leyendo la correspondencía de la que el artista era habitualmente destinatario. Una carta llamó la atención de Michael. En ella una fan anunciaba al cantante, que él era el padre de sus dos gemelos.(curioso ya que Michael no conocía en absoluto a la remitente). En la misma carta, la mujer deseaba con avidez, mantener una relación amorosa con el cantante. No pasó de ahí en un primer momento,una sombra de sonrisa asomó en la boca de Michael. Una carta diferente, curiosa, alejada de los halagos habituales de los cuales era objeto.Por ese motivo, la carta se grabó en su memoria. Meditando sobre ella días despúes, se sorprendió de la llegada de nuevas misivas, con parejo contenido pero en cada ocasión más agresivo."¿Cómo puedes ignorar a tus hijos?" . La sensibilidad del cantante se vió torpedeada, su estabilidad emocional, a pesar de luchar contra ella, se vio agitada de manera súbita. Los sobresaltos nocturnos se hiceron compañeros habituales en la aparente calma de su hogar.

Un paquete llegó al Rancho de Michael, al detectar la identidad del remitente, la dudas le asaltaron. Si las cartas de aquella mujer enagenada, le robaban el sueño en plena noche..¿Qué podría contener aquella caja de cartón?. Tras observarla durante un tiempo, la curiosidad venció a la prudencia como en tantas ocasiones nos sucede a todos.

Abrió la caja, en ella una carta, una foto y una pistola. Horrorizado comenzó por leer. En ella la fan en cuestión,manifestaba que acabaría con su vida, ya que desesperada, al no poder unir su destino al de Jackson en esta vida; lo haría en la próxima.  La pistola era fruto de la invitación de la mujer a concretar una fecha y una hora para unir su destino.

El entorno de Michael comenzó a preocuparse el día que Michael enmarcó la foto de la muchacha y la colocó encima de la mesa del comedor de su casa.

Poco después, los Jacksons descubrieron que la fan había sido enviada a un hospital psiquiátrico. Al poco tiempo se descubrío que todo fue un engaño, que la muchacha únicamente perseguía acabar con la vida de su ídolo.
